Can letters really be addressed to our Father in Heaven? Would He read them? How would He reply? One woman sent a mail to God, turning it in at the September 2016 Peru Crusade organised by The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). The answer she received sent lightning coursing through her body and soul. Are you ready for the same?

“Dear Heavenly Father,” begins Selam in a letter dated September 19, 2016. “The main reason that I am going to the Crusade is to be delivered from the spirit of anger. Dear Jesus, I am not sure I will write down anything that I have not with tears prayed about from the core of my spirit. Dear Heavenly Father, my eyes have shed tears and my heart has bled. There has not been anything in recent memory I have been hungrier for than deliverance from the spirit of anger,” she writes.

Selam had tried to visit The SCOAN unsuccessfully. News of the Crusade therefore came as a miracle. Again she tells her Daddy: “It has been my desire to visit the Church since the beginning of this year. On July 5, I asked You to make this possible. The next day, I received an email from The SCOAN responding to my inquiry. You know that it did not go far. I also had a mind to visit The SCOAN the last week of September. But lo and behold, we are going to T. B. Joshua’s Crusade this coming Thursday in Peru. You are an adventurous God! I never planned to visit Peru for any reason whatsoever. Yet, in less than 72 hours, I will be boarding a plane to get there. How awesome You are. My Jesus, You are so kind, beyond description.”

Passionately, she pleads: “Dear Jesus, anger and all the other spirits that wage war against me are Your enemies. Arise arm of God and clothe Yourself with power, and deal with Your enemies as You did in the past! I pray, not only for myself, but also for my children, my children’s children, and all my descendants. Dear Jesus, let me taste and see that Your redemption is good. Let this soul that You’ve redeemed stand to bear witness of Your goodness.”

After the long letter in which she also cried to God for the salvation of her family, she concludes: “I love You, my Love! I long to see Your exploits. I praise You with every fibre of my being. Thank you. Love. Selam.”

Did she experience the exploits of her Father? Read her remarkable testimony:

“On Friday, September, 23, 2016, when the Man of God was conducting mass prayer, I was praying in the Spirit and waiting on the Lord,” said Selam. “A few minutes into the prayer, I felt power enter my body. I can only liken it to lightning! It entered at the centre of my head and moved down, till it reached the bottom of my feet. I knew without a shadow of doubt that it was the Spirit of the Living God.

“A few seconds later, another round of power entered my body and settled on my right breast. I am not sure why it stopped there. My body quaked and trembled like Mount Sinai when the glory of God rested on it. I knew with certainty that I had been changed. My heart was filled with unending praise. I felt the love of God in my heart anew. My whole body felt new. On the outside, I looked exactly the way I always did. But on the inside, a new person had been born like in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

“The next day, Saturday, September 24, 2016, I had an opportunity to be placed on the prayer line. When it was my turn to be prayed for, the Man of God touched my forehead and moved to the next person. As I walked back to my seat, this thought flashed across my mind: ‘It is settled. It is finished. It is done. All your prayers are touched.’ Peace, calmness and rest enveloped my soul. Indeed, it is finished. It is done!

“Now, my soul is calm. There is an amazing rest in the core of my being. Things that would have upset me in the past no longer do. I am patient without struggling to be. I relate with my children without any issues. I relate with my mother without any issues. I have cried rivers for this to come to pass. Tears of joy are inadequate to express my gratitude to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I have tasted His redemption. He came down in His glory, in a lightening, and defeated my enemies. No demon will ever have a say in my life again. No demon will ever cage me anymore. My life, my destiny are forever secure in Jesus!

“My passion to minister the gospel is also renewed. The Lord gave me and my husband a desire to reach people in our native Ethiopia who have never been reached by the gospel. In the two years since we began this ministry, the Lord has visited people that were as far from the gospel as the North Pole is from the South. Testimonies from the ministry is like in the Acts of the Apostles. The Lord has confirmed the mission with power, miracles, deliverance, redemption and changed lives. Even with all these evidence, my heart had been married to my career rather than to the mission. I believe that with the touch I received from the Prophet, God has reinvigorated the passion I have for the work He’s called me to.

“Even though I never considered it to be an issue, I was often tired. I thought it was because I had so much on my plate. Sometimes, my eyelids felt very heavy, as though I was carrying the entire world on my eyes. My neck became stiff as if a steel rod had been inserted in it. I thought it was because I had a lot of responsibilities at work. My body ached with fatigue. If I did a lot of chores around the house my feet swelled and I felt back pain. But since I came back from the crusade, I have not experienced the fatigue. My eyes no longer feel heavy. My feet no longer swell. My back does not hurt anymore. My body feels like it is new. I praise the Lord because I took home more than I asked from Him. He gave me Psalm 18 as a victory song. Praise the Lord!”
