If you look through your immediate surroundings, you will see frightening things: economic oppression, political oppression, financial oppression, injustice and misrule everywhere. Instead of criticising our troubled society, we should do what is good to change the bad we see. The Book of 1 Peter 2:15 tells us that God wants us to do good so as to silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. In the face of all this, let us be known as people who are for the good not just being against the bad. Instead of being against poverty and using insensitive words, you should make a tangible contribution towards the society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">&nbsp;When we see something that needs to be improved, changed or adjusted in our society, we must take responsibility. The Bible says that we should not do wrong for wrong but always do good to change the bad we see. This calls for self-examination, which is one of the keys that Jesus has given to us. If you see something wrong with what you are doing, the result of your self-examination would be self-reproach and the zeal to make correction. The first step towards correction is for you not to put the blame on another person. The question you need to ask yourself now is, \u2018Am I guilty of the following: criticising others unduly, using insensitive words, refusing to admit my mistakes, belittling the opinions of others?\u2019. Remember that these things can only wreck relationships and hinder the healing of past hurt. The Lord Jesus Christ wants us to do good to change the bad we see; He wants to see us move from saying words to taking actions, to move from complaining about issues to solving them. Examine yourself today and remember to do good to change the bad you see.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">PRAYER: O Holy Spirit, give me love enough to overlook the mistakes of others, in Jesus Christ\u2019s name.
