Hebrews 4:12 says, \u201cFor the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The name ‘Jesus Christ’ has power indeed but only among those who are committed to the glory of Heaven. The power that flows from His name, the power we will realise in calling His name, will be in proportion to our love for His Word. When that love is expressed, don\u2019t be surprised to see things changed, loosed, or bound. As a Christian, remember that anyone who does not love cannot be entrusted with such power to heal, deliver, bless and save because he will misappropriate, or misuse it to hurt himself and others. When our spirit acts upon the Word of God, the Spirit will be released to the degree we stand in reverence of His Word. To stand in reverence of His Word is to hear His Word, not only with our ears but most importantly with our hearts.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

To hear the Word of God in our hearts requires openness and hunger for God\u2019s Word. Christ has no dwelling place in a life that is not dominated by the Word of God because the Word dominating you is the Lordship of Christ in you. The case of the seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:14-16 shows that faith is not an imitation. It must arise in each person\u2019s heart – this means that God will not meet you because you imitate what someone else did. God Almighty will meet you when you obey what He told you to do by His Spirit based on His Word. In other words, it is the doer of the Word that receives things from God. Therefore, as Christians, let us not only be a hearer of the Word but also a doer of the Word.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Say this prayer: \u201cLord Jesus, grant me the grace to be not only a hearer of Your Word but also a doer of Your Word! In Your Word, there is healing, deliverance, and all of Your blessings. As I dwell in it and act in it, let Your will be done in my life, in Jesus\u2019 name!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
