Then he said: \u2018I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. Joseph had reasons he did not yield to Potiphar\u2019s wife\u2019s temptation, give in to despair in the barren pit or lose hope in the filthy prison. He considered who he was, a covenant child \u2013 a child with a promise of God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">A child of destiny knows he is one with a difference. He always knows that here is the market and home is in Heaven. Joseph was a child of destiny and that was why when he was in the dry pit, he said to himself, \u2018This is not where I belong\u2019. A child of promise knows where he belongs. If you know where you belong, you would not allow anything to overwhelm you, manipulate you, dictate your direction or influence your response negatively. You would stay focused on the divine course of God for your life and continue to run the straight race through God\u2019s good grace. Remember that many people occupying powerful positions all over the world were singled out for success because of how they responded to the many attacks, insults and opposition they received.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">If Joseph had been overwhelmed by his situation in the dry pit, he would have given in to despair. If he had been overexcited at the good treatment he received in the house of Potiphar, he would have given in to pleasure and pride. In other words, his dream would have died in him. Don&#8217;t let your dream die within you. There is something far more important than your present situation &#8211; your dream and goals in life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">PRAYER: Ask Jesus Christ to help you run the straight race through His good grace!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><!-- \/vcwb\/dynamicElementComment:bb841533 --><\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- \/vcwb\/dynamicElementComment:50bae972 --><\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- \/vcwb\/dynamicElementComment:414f8d13 --><!--vcv no format-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Genesis 45: 4 -5 says, \u201cAnd Joseph said to his brothers, \u2018Please come near to me.\u2019 So they came near.
