Looking at life, its storms or adversities from the carnal or human point of view brings worries, anxiety, fear and death. A good example is David’s encounter with Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-50). While Goliath was busy looking at David from the human point of view – I mean, he considered David’s physical appearance – David was busy looking at Goliath from God’s point of view. If David had looked at Goliath from the human point of view, he would have been frightened or scared to submission.<\/span><\/p>\n

David was a small boy compared to Goliath in terms of age, size and experience in warfare but he had a dream that was known to him alone. Goliath’s dream, on the other hand, was in his size, weapons, experience in warfare, and words of humiliation. The difference between their dreams is that, while David’s dream was known to him alone, Goliath’s dream was known to everyone, seen by everyone and understood by everyone. Remember, the Bible says, we don’t live by what is seen but by what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary while what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).<\/span><\/p>\n

Many look at their situation today from the outside. Looking at your situation on the outside would give you worries, discouragement, fear and anxiety. The situation with you now on the outside may be poor, painful, frightening and discouraging. But remember your dream \u2013 that dream should be your focus, not your present situation. Your dream will impart strength to endure your present trials and difficulty. If it is raining now and you know that the rain is for a moment, you would endure. Trouble becomes easier to handle when you know it will not last long. Mind you \u2013 your future has to move into you before you can move into the future. For you to walk toward your future, your future has to move into you first.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
