Isaiah 53:5-6 says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
We are Christians because of the finished work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. In other words, we are Christians not because of what we do but because of what Christ has done. At Calvary, Jesus defeated the devil and it is His victory that gives us victory. Jesus paid the ultimate price for the redemption of mankind by dying a painful and shameful death to set us free from sin and its penalty.
Are you suffering? Are you in pain? Or maybe you are asking yourself the following questions: “Am I a child of God? Why am I facing these troubles?” Don’t be discouraged. As a Christian, do not allow your situation to mislead you. The fact that you are a Christian does not mean that you will not face troubles or difficulties. Always remember your position in Christ Jesus – a position of victory, good health, deliverance, success, prosperity, hope, fulfillment, and all of God’s blessings. Therefore, amid poverty, pain, and sickness, believers should rejoice because there is hope. Jesus is the Hope!
Say this prayer: By the power of resurrection, that destined good health, promotion, career, and marriage that has been taken from me – BE RESTORED, in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
