For those who are seated by the highway of life, saying: “Life is not fair to me. I don’t get it; I am poor. I have been a Christian for years, paying my tithe regularly but still things are not working out for me; things haven’t changed. I’m supposed to be rich now” – brethren, everything is beautiful in God’s time, yet that time is limited: a time to labour without immediate result and a time to reap the product of grace.
Life is in stages. When it is time to start a race, everybody waits for the blast of the gun or the sound of the whistle. However, in our daily lives today, the opposite is the case for many. In an attempt to beat the gun, we discover that we are worse off for it; we pay dearly for it. As an adage says, “More haste, less speed.” This means that if you are in haste to achieve something, you are likely to make costly mistakes that will pull you back, if not down. Many, while attempting to beat the gun, find themselves entangled with conditions that jeopardize their career and ruin their success in life.
Whatever crisis you may be going through, God is aware. Never interpret His silence as rejection. That situation may be to preserve you so that you can take your future in your hands; it may be to reform you, it may be to prepare you in order for you to take your proper position and possession in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER: O Holy Spirit, give me the grace to continue to wait in God’s presence so His Will can be done in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
