Colossians 1:16 says, “For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.”

‘God has ordered all’ means everything we have is actually only being borrowed from God. Everything comes from God and everything you will receive in the future will come from Him. It appears that all is of grace because all our spiritual advantages are from Him. What do have you? What item or material do you own? It all came from Him. This means that our faith, our conversion, our eternal salvation are not mere products of any natural ability or power; no man should boast. They are not brought to pass by anything done by us; therefore, all boasting is excluded. He who glories must not glory in himself but in the Lord.

Whoever is great among men, it is God’s hand that made them so and whatever strength we have, it is God that gave it to us. We ought to acknowledge God in all spiritual things. Every good thought, every good purpose and every good work – to His grace from whom we received it. When you are placed on top of a horse, remember those who cannot ride on donkeys. The privileged should remember the less-privileged.

God has ordered all so that the whole shall appear to be of grace. When you approach God in prayer, picture yourself as the created. Don’t dictate to God – heal me, bless me, deliver me. You should not allow your situation to dictate your prayer. He knows you more than yourself. Remember that Jesus lives; He never said, “Goodbye”.

PRAYER: “Oh Holy Spirit, grant me the grace to pray according to the will of the Father!”
