With the world watching the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt unfold, let us take this opportunity to remind you of the prophetic message T.B. Joshua gave on February 12th 2012 concerning the final match between Zambia ????????and Ivory Coast ????????
Shortly before kick-off, T.B. Joshua declared, “I know you have a game now. Today is the final and you want me to talk about it. Sometimes when I sit down and show interest in something, God brings it to my mind – ‘This is what you want to see’. What we are doing now – it has happened before now. Like you said you will play a game today – the game has been played before today. And people like me have watched the game. A believer – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
“This blessing is for a country you are not expecting. This victory is for a country you are not expecting. Just to make them smile because of the past record they have – what happened to them in their history. God wants to make them happy because of the victims of what happened to them in the past.
“In the second half, at 25 minutes… There is a mistake they should cover. Even if you have the opportunity to enter the television where they are playing, you would enter and flog them. ‘Why don’t you score this thing?’ You will face the goalkeeper and you play it out over the bar. Face to face with the goalkeeper and you play it outside. Is that not a big mistake? That is the goal that would have given you the Cup. Now, it is taken to the other side.”
True to the prophetic word, Zambia’s national team, known as ‘Chipolopolo’ secured a historic victory against the favourites Ivory Coast. A missed penalty by Didier Drogba in the 70th minute proved a pivotal moment in the match, which Zambia finally won on penalties!
