The wise man is the doer of the Word, for it is the doer of the Word that receives things from God. James 4:7 – “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. In whatever situation you are facing in life, you must resist the devil by refusing to give in to offence. It is impossible to live this life without having the opportunity to be offended – but don’t keep or hold offence in your heart. When you retain offence in your heart, you will filter everything through it.
We must get rid of hurt, bitterness anger, resentment, malice, hatred, outrage and strife if we must fit into God’s divine arrangement for our lives. As Christians, our future demands for forgiveness. If we continue to dwell in the past, we cannot attain the future God has for us. We cannot discover new oceans if we do not lose sight of the shore. Therefore, the remedy against anxiety and worry is to cast our burden upon God, believing His divine will to calm our spirit. In place of anxious thoughts, we should freely offer thanksgiving from a heart fixed and established in God’s Word.
